The incidence of heart failure is increasing rapidly worldwide, with an estimated 26 million cases of heart failure reported worldwide and 8-10 million patients in India alone.Although this problem affects most of the population of the country, there is very little awareness about it.There is a great need to raise awareness about this situation.

Are Heart Failure and Heart Attack Same? Dr. Kumar explains that a heart failure and heart attack are both heart disease, but they are not the same. Most of the heart attack is a sudden occurrence.When the blood supply to the heart due to clotting in the coronary artery, the heart muscles die and in this case the heart gradually becomes inactive.
The ability to pump the blood of the heart decreases and becomes unable to meet the needs of the organs around the body.In fact, 1 out of every 4 people who suffer from a heart attack eventually fall prey to a heart failure in four years.

Some of the positive changes in your lifestyle such as reducing fluid intake, controlling salt intake, maintaining a healthy diet, quitting smoking, limiting alcohol consumption and including moderate physical activity etc. These actions can reduce the risk of heart failure in your body.
In India, the incidence of smoking is on the rise and especially among the youth, the first step in reducing the incidence of heart failure is to divert the youth from this habit and only then the incidence of heart failure will come down in the country.
