Citizens can also lodge a complaint if there is a breakdown or leakage in a water pipeline in a rural area, water is stolen or water is wasted in an area.

The toll free helpline number 1916 is operational 24 hours a day for the registration of drinking water complaints for the purpose of quick solution of drinking water problems in the rural areas of Gujarat.

Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board (GWSSB), established under Gujarat Act No.18 of 1979, for rapid development and proper regulation of water supply and sewerage services in the State of Gujarat. GWSSB (The Board) is committed to ensure sustainable water supply and sanitation services in the State of Gujarat for accomplishing the basic health and hygiene levels leading to Socio-economic Development, Communal harmony and Peace in the society.

The list of Gujarat Water Supply Board states that citizens can lodge any complaint regarding drinking water in rural areas such as handpump repair, repair of mini pipe scheme and any complaint regarding water provided by individual or group water supply scheme on this toll-free helpline number 1916 Is.

According to the list, citizens can also lodge a complaint if there is a breakdown or leakage in a water pipeline in a rural area, water is stolen or water is wasted in an area. Gujarat Water Supply Board has also provided online complaint facility.
