Patwari or Lekhpal is a village level officer in the revenue department. They are also known by other names in different places such as:-, Karnam Adhikari, Shanbogaru, Lekhpal (Uttar Pradesh) etc. It is an administrative office of government in rural areas of the Indian subcontinent.
