 SBI Bank has given happy news to the customers.  The bank tweeted that if you have not filled in the nominee details in your account, you need not panic.  You can now fill it up at home with the help of bank facility.

 This facility is available for each branch.  Based on the tweet, if you have a savings or current account with the bank, if you have a fixed or recurring deposit, you can register a nominee sitting at home.

 Nominee registration facility is available in both Net Banking and Ono App.  If you have not registered a nominee or would like to update it, you can do so soon.  In case of sudden death of the account holder, the nominee has the right to claim on that account.  This requires everyone to carefully fill in the details of the nominee in their account or FD and keep updating them if required.  If there is a single account, nominee registration and updation can be done online.  If there is a joint account, it is necessary to go to the bank branch.

 If you use Net Banking, first visit SBI's website.  Click on Request & Inquiry after the page opens here.  Now another page will open in front of you.  It will have the option of online nomination.  If you have more than one account with SBI, the details will appear in front of you.  After selecting the appropriate option, fill in the details of the nominee and after completing the process, you will be able to add the name of the nominee after verification that the OTP will come to the registered mobile number.

 Update how to name from SBI's app

 First login to Yono Lite SBI App.  Clicking on the Home button here will bring up the option of Service Request.  Clicking on Service Request will open a new page. Here you have the option of online nomination.  Here you have to select the account details and provide the information of the nominee.  The relationship with the nominee also needs to be mentioned.  First of all cancel the ongoing nominee using cancellation nomination and fill in the information of new nominee.
