For the first time in India, a diesel tractor will be run on CNG. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will make a formal start on Friday. This will improve in the future as about 120 million vehicles in the world currently run on natural gas. Day by day more and more companies and municipalities will join the movement to promote CNG. The test report states that a retrofitted tractor produces more power than a diesel engine.

This has resulted in a 70 per cent reduction in total carbon emissions compared to diesel. This will help farmers save up to 50 per cent on fuel as the current price of diesel is Rs 77.43 per liter.
