MAKARSANKRANTI GUIDELINE CIRCULAR.



Government of Gujarat No .: V-1 / AV / 102060  Home Department, Secretariat, Gandhinagar on 08.01.201, Order dated 17-12 01/206 1 The festival of Uttarayan and Vasi-Uttarayan is celebrated.  Under normal circumstances, a large number of people gather in the dhabas, agacis as well as in the open fields to celebrate the festival of Uttarayan and Vasi Uttarayan.  

Corona infections are likely to increase as large numbers of people congregate.  Therefore, taking into account the current situation of COVID-19 prevailing in the state, from 01.01.207 1 to 15.01.  The following instructions are implemented till 2021: 1. No public places / open fields etc. can be collected and kites cannot be chewed.  2. In the current epidemic situation, it is advisable to celebrate Uttarayan with close family members only.  3. No person shall be allowed to assemble on the roof of a house or flat or on the grounds of a society for the purpose of flying a kite.

  Attendees will be required to comply with social de-escalation and sanitation arrangements.

 7. It is advisable for elderly persons above 6 years of age, persons suffering from other diseases, pregnant women and persons below 10 years of age to stay at home. 

 8. No person shall write on the kite any kind of text / logon / pictures which may disturb the feelings of the public as well as disturb the peace of the public.  Sky lanterns, replica glass-covered manza, plastic cord etc. will be banned.

  In this regard, the instructions given by the Home Department from letter no.  When people visit kite markets at different places in the state like Raipu2, Takshal, Naroda etc. in Ahmedabad city, the covid-19 related protocols have to be strictly enforced and co-operate with the police personnel to keep the number of persons limited.  

11. COVID - 19 The guidelines issued in the notification issued by the State Government and the Central Government in respect of 19 shall be strictly followed.  The guidelines given from KAV / 102050/2 will have to be strictly enforced.  Drones as well as C, CTV as required  Also have to keep surveillance.  Any person violating the above instructions will be liable for action under the provisions of The Disaster Management Act, 2005 as well as The Indian Penal Code, 1860 by order of the Governor of Gujarat and in his name, (KK Nirala) Additional Secretary (Acting) Home Department.
