How To Check Your Name
On 15 August 2017, the Prime Minister of the country announced Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). This plan is the largest health insurance plan in the world. Under this scheme, about 100 million families of the country i.e. about 200 million people will get health insurance of Rs 5 lakh every year. An estimated 8 crore rural families and 2.4 crore urban families will get the benefit of this scheme. Thus about 50% of the population of the country will get health insurance.

You do not need to apply to avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana
If your family is included in the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana list, you can avail up to Rs. 5 lakhs per year for medical treatment at any of the listed hospitals.
The scheme will benefit all the households identified as poor during the 2011 census. There is no age or family size limit in this scheme. And yes people / families who have become poor after 2011 will not get the benefit of this scheme!
How to check your name
You can check online whether your name is in PMJAY scheme or not. For this you have to open the website of mera.pmjay.gov.in.
After opening the website, enter your mobile number and the security code provided in the box provided there. Then click on Generate OTP button so that an OTP will come on your mobile. Input this OTP on the website and click on Submit button.
Doing so will open another page, in which you have to select your state. You will then be given 4 options to search for your name, name, ration card number, mobile number and RSBY URN number. Select any one of the options and enter the details accordingly and click on the Search button.
If this plan has your name, after a while information like your name, address will come on the right side and also SMS will come to the mobile number you have entered.
સ્ટેપ 1 : સૌપ્રથમ તમારે આયુષ્માન ભારત કાર્ડ ડાઉનલોડ કરવા માટે આ https://bis.pmjay.gov.in/BIS/mobileverify વેબસાઇટ પર જવાનું રહેશે.
સ્ટેપ 2 : ઉપર ત્રણ લાઈન પર ક્લિક કરો અને ત્યાં તમને Download Ayushman card નું ઓપ્શન જોવા મળશે તેના પર ક્લિક કરવાનું રહેશે.
સ્ટેપ 3 : ત્યાર બાદ આધાર સિલેક્ટ કરી ને scheme મા PMJAY સિલેક્ટ કરવાનું રહશે અને તમારું રાજ્ય અને તમારો આધાર આધાર નંબર દાખલ કરવાનો રહેશે.
સ્ટેપ 4 : ત્યારબાદ તમારા આધાર કાર્ડ સાથે જે મોબાઈલ નંબર લીંક હશે તે નંબર પર એક OTP આવશે તે ત્યાં દાખલ કરવાનો રહેશે. અને Verify બટન પર ક્લિક કરવાનું રહેશે.
સ્ટેપ 5 : ત્યાર બાદ નવું પેજ ખુલશે અને ત્યાં તમારું નામ અને આયુષ્માન કાર્ડ ક્યારે બનાવેલું છે એ જોવા મળશે અને DOWNLOAD CARD પર ક્લિક કરીને તમે આયુષ્માન ભારત કાર્ડ ડાઉનલોડ કરી શકો છો.

How to get benefit?
Beneficiary does not need any special card for PMJAY scheme. Beneficiaries will have a "Lifetime Help Desk" in every government as well as private hospital associated with the scheme to establish their identity only. Where the beneficiary has to prove his eligibility by giving documents. Once the eligibility is proved, the beneficiary does not have to spend a single rupee for treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.

Currently PMJAY scheme is not applicable in Delhi, West Bengal, Orissa, Kerala, Telangana and Punjab! Because some of those states have a similar scheme in place, and some states want such a scheme of their own.

Shri Sudhanshu Pandey, Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution today addressed a news conference on “One Nation One Ration Card” (ONORC) plan. On this occasion Secretary also launches Mera Ration mobile app. This app will benefit especially those card holders who move to new areas for livelihoods.

He said that the mixing of Migrants’ Portal with ONROC system is undertaking with the support of M/o Labour & Employment,ONORC has been made a neighborhood of PM SVANidhi program of M/o Housing & Urban Affairs,Awareness campaigning (announcements and display of A/Vs at railway stations) for migrants travelling through trains, including Shramik Specials withIndian Railwaysand Development of IEC/Creatives and media publicity through M/o Information & Broadcasting, Press Information Bureau, MyGov, Bureau of Outreach & Communication.
A vigorous awareness generation campaigning – in Hindi & Regional Languages is being administered through audio announcements on quite 2,400 Railway Stations across the country and Radio Spots on 167 FM & 91 Community Radio Stations (with message of Prime Minister), Bus Wraps on State Transport Buses across all States/UTs under ONORC, Outdoor Publicity and display of banners, posters, etc. at the FPSs. Extensive use of Social Media platforms – Twitter, YouTube, MyGov for public outreach.In-depth trainings and capacity building of district level officials, field functionaries and FPS dealers is additionally being administered by the Department through VC and Webcasting.
The ONORC scheme is being implemented by the Department for the nation-wide portability of ration cards under National Food Security Act (NFSA). this technique allows all NFSA beneficiaries, particularly migrant beneficiaries, to say either full or part foodgrains from any Fair Price Shop (FPS) within the country through existing card with biometric/Aadhaar authentication during a seamless manner.
