Gujarat Budget App makes Government of Gujarat budget documents available to Members of the Parliament (MPs) and the general public alike, in one place. This initiative is aimed at providing Gujarat Budget information to various stakeholders including the general public at the click of a button.

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Nitin Patel will present the 77th budget on Wednesday. As Finance Minister, Nitin Patel has presented 8 budgets. Given Corona's position, a paperless budget will be presented this year, for which the government has also launched a mobile application (Gujarat Budget).

3 budgets were introduced in the Lok Sabha due to Presidential rule
As per the information given in the application, the state budget was presented in the Lok Sabha 3 times due to the implementation of Presidential rule in Gujarat at various stages. Since the establishment of the State of Gujarat, 76 budgets have been presented and out of these, 20 budgets have been presented in the form of grant-in-aid, i.e. interim budget.
This app facilitates viewing of various budget related documents like Budget Speech, budget Study, Budget at a Glance, analytical statements etc for a selected Financial Year. It also facilitates current status of Budget allocation, expenditure and budget availability in a particular budget head for selected Financial Year. Allocation and expenditure details can be viewed at various levels like State Level, Administrative Department Level, Department level etc.
